About My First Name

So what's up with my first name? "Kem" is short for my middle name, which is "Kemater". "Donald" is my real first name. "Kemater" is my paternal grandmother's maiden name. Her siblings were all female so I don't think there are any Kematers around anymore. I've been called "Kem" my whole life. I never use my real first name unless forced to. While a search of the web turns up other people with the same first name, I've never once met anyone else named Kem.
