Still Here Boringly

My mother always said "If you don't have anything to say keep your mouth shut." Or did she just say "Keep your mouth shut"?

In any event, ever since the holidays I've been in sort of a blogging malaise, the writing doldrums, my creativity becalmed. Nothing terrible or terribly interesting has happened. We did get rid of our 1990 Ford Taurus (blogworthy but deferred till next week). I've been enjoying my older son home from college. And my job has given me a lot of interesting work to do, so I don't have as much time to cop looking at the web. But there have been no cute quips from family members, no pent up rants seeking catharsis in writing, no poignant reminiscences needing validation.

So here I sit without substantive verbiage that might perchance fall under your eye. I apologize for my laziness to my few readers.

This, too, shall pass.

I'm off with the Scouts for weekend camping trip down at the Naval Academy. The scouts are in merit badge classes all day leaving me time to read, loaf, and walk around the quaint and charming town of Annapolis (a place so expensive to live that mortgages have exponents in them).

You all have a good weekend.

"Weekend camping trip" as in, lounging around a cozy lodge with a blazing fireplace and hot chocolate, right? Have fun and stay warm.

P.S. Everything I know about Annapolis I learned in a Tom Clancy movie.

Like Marie, I learned about Annapolis from the movie. Glad that everything is going well for you, and enjoy your weekend.
