Fall Weather?
It snowed last night at my house. Six inches on the ground. More "wintery mix" on the way. Unusual to have this much snow this early in the season. Presage or chance event? Exactly one year ago on December 5, Maryland had 7" of snow and we ended up with more than 40" for the winter including the worst Maryland winter snow ever last February.
8:42 AM Update
The Lab is closed due to inclement weather. I get the day off to put up Christmas decorations and shovel the driveway. Oh, joy! Rapture!

Six inches and the office is closed? Surely that makes you snicker (or something) when you recall the winters you spent in Michigan? Of course, they do the same thing here. I seem to recall getting something like 200 inches the first winter I lived in Western Michigan. My office never closed. They didn't know what that was there.
Wow, they close everything here if they just THINK it's going to snow. People go nuts. It's a hoot. Enjoy your day off. *G*
They have to plow the parking lots for APL's 3200 employees. That's the biggest determining factor for closing. We also ended up with 9 inches of snow. To be honest I was a little surprised they closed. Today was more a liberal leave snow event. Maybe the threat of more snow clinched the decision. Today's snow wouldn't really faze Michiganders.
